Insurance only comes into play if you get into an accident and in that case mileage is irrelevant. Lets say 2 cars are the same year with the exact same mods and condition. The only diff is the mileage. So if you smash up the front of your 23K mile car and I smash mine exactly the same (mine has way over 100K on it), then the ins co pays the same amount, correct? YES.....and thus are premiums are the same. I have friends with 60K on there car and mine has over 140K and our premiums are about $30 apart (and that is only due to slight diffs in driving records and location).
PS .....If you paid $20K for all that stuff you got ripped off
